Initial member at a First Round backed startup of a quick-commerce last-mile product Airlift Express where we built core modules for Multi Warehouse support, Product Cataloguing, Automated Order Batching, and Labor Supply Modules on full stack frameworks [NodeJS, Python, Angular, PostgreSQL, and AWS tools]
Implemented engineering best practices such as TDD and refactoring, migrating from a monolith to our microservices, managing distributed systems, and led a hiring sprint for hiring 5 junior developers and mentored two interns.
Collaborated with the Delivery Operations Team in decreasing rider distances by 20% through route optimization, improving performance KPIs (50% increase in timely deliveries) by tying compensation frameworks, and improving overall system scalability to help reach up to 10,000 orders per day across Pakistan and South Africa.
